I love your locs. I looked at your site http://www.naturalbeautifulhair.com and I loved it so much. It reignited my love for locs and my yearning to have them. I moved out here to the Bay Area, which I read is where you are from, in May of 2008 and I tried to start my locs but I had a problem with getting lint build up in my hair and i also had dirt build up at the roots which was showing at my hair line. I couldn't comb nor wash it out because of its location. so it was very difficult. Luckily, I managed to just brush out my wanna-be locs because they definitely were taking a long time to loc. Maybe because i was washing my hair too frequently which is one of the things i was hoping to do with my loced hair. so since i see you have such beautiful locs and that you are from here, i was wondering if you did your own locs or someone does them for you. I would love to try this again and have them developed and looking beautiful soon.

Thank you for creating such a lovely and informative space that celebrates the beauty of natural hair. Although I've been natural since April 2002 (BC done on April 10, 2002) and loc'ing for about 3 years now, I still don't know all the best practices to keep my hair healthy. I'm still learning. The decision to go natural and eventually loc is a story in itself, but I'm really glad I did. I think my hair as it is now fits my personality. It's been fun watching my hair grow. I remember how excited I was when i was finally able to wear my locs in one pony tail! It felt like such an accomplishment, lol. Thank you, Karen, for featuring my photos and embracing me :-)

I just want to say that i love this website and blogs!! I have been thinking about getting locks for a while now. Everytime i see someone with locks or natural hair i see myself so i just recently i went to my hair shop and cut my hair off and started natural!! And i am loving it..The website is so inspiring and full of information!! Thank You for doing this it helps me prepare myself to take care of my natural hair and feel confident to wear it!!
